Choose the Type of Monument
The type of monument is regulated by the individual cemetery. Some cemeteries have sections with only flush markers. The majority of people buy plots only when needed and the type of memorial seems insignificant at the time, however we will help you develop the type of memorial allowed. (Check with individual cemetery for type restrictions)
Hickey / Pillow / Flush
A Hickey, Pillow of Flush marker, or flat marker, are all designed to be flush with the ground. Granite markers are generally 4 inches thick and are inset. Many of the cemeteries have flush only sections.
Slant W/out base
A Slant marker is tapered from the bottom to the top with a straight back creating an angled viewing area for engraving and personalization. Can be used as both individual and double memorials.

A Slant marker, which is set on a ganite base, is tapered from the bottom to the top with a straight back creating an angled viewing area for engraving and personalization. Can be used as both individual and double memorials.
Uprights
Upright or "Vertical" monuments are among the most common types of memorials in most cemeteries. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes, styles and colors. They consist of two separate pieces (in most cases) the top piece, or 'die' and the base. Be sure to check with your cemetery for size restrictions.
